About me

I grew up in rural Suffolk, where dogs were simply part of the furniture and I’m very glad my mum passed her dog obsession down to me.

First there was Amy, a golden Labrador who was around back when I was still in nappies. Then came Archie, a rescue golden retriever, and William, a rescue border collie. My last family dog before leaving home was Bentley, a wonderfully energetic lurcher mix who could outrun just about anything.

After graduating from university in London, life without dogs quickly felt empty. That’s when Archie II came along, a Staffordshire Terrier mix we rescued from Battersea Dogs Home.

When we moved to Amsterdam, we added Gus, a chocolate Labrador puppy, to the mix. And just like that, a happy family, evenly matched between four legs and two! Kind of...

Little did I know that my love for dogs would completely take over my work life too. I made the leap from writing to becoming a qualified dog trainer through the Dog Training College in the UK. This decision felt natural, not just because I adore dogs, but because I’d seen so many owners struggling with their new pets during the pandemic. I wanted to do something practical to help.

While studying, I also worked alongside experienced training mentors, meeting dogs of every size, shape and personality. Those early experiences gave me a real appreciation for just how unique each dog–owner relationship is.

My mission is simple: to share my expertise and enthusiasm so owners can enjoy a strong, happy bond with their dogs, no matter the breed or background.

I’m committed to using the latest, science-based positive reinforcement methods, and I make sure to keep learning so my clients always get the most up-to-date, effective training.

I provide tailored, one-to-one sessions in your home, focusing on trust, understanding and building the confidence that unlocks a lifelong partnership between you and your dog.
